Tanya Tate is an English glamour model, writer, cosplayer and adult performer born on March 31, 1979 in Liverpool. Standing 5′6″ (168 cm), she built her career on the MILF genre and was inducted into the XRCO Hall of Fame in 2023.
Career
She started her adult career in 2009 and began writing a regular column for the British magazine Ravers DVD the following year. Her alliterative stage name is a nod to comic books, and to the way Stan Lee named his characters. She is best known for MILF-themed work, with eleven MILF of the Year wins, and for porn parodies such as Game of Bones, The Incredible Hulk XXX and Iron Man XXX.
She also moved behind the camera: her first film as director, Tanya Tate’s the MILF Masseuse, came out in 2011 for Filly Films. In December 2013 she hosted the fourth SHAFTA Awards in London, and in January 2014 she worked as red-carpet correspondent at the AVN Awards for the French magazine Hot Vidéo.
Cosplay and geek culture
Her second public identity is cosplay. After her San Diego Comic-Con debut in 2010 dressed as Emma Frost, she was covered by outlets such as IGN, Life.com and Getty Images, published a first book that same year and later wrote for sites like WorldOfSuperheroes.com. She also launched a line of customizable vinyl figures, My Hero Toys, and a comic character, Lady Titan, introduced at WonderCon in 2014.
Media and advocacy
She was the cover model for the Turkish edition of FHM in 2013 and appeared in the documentary Aroused and in Channel 4’s Date My Porn Star. From April 2014 she hosted a weekly show on Vivid Radio on Sirius XM, and in 2012 she spoke on behalf of the Free Speech Coalition against Los Angeles County’s Measure B.
