Silvia Saint

Silvia Saint is a Czech former adult performer born on February 12, 1976 in Kyjov, in what was then Czechoslovakia. Standing 5′5″ (165 cm), she is one of the best-known Czech names of her generation, with a career that ran through Europe and the United States and a place in the AVN Hall of Fame.

From accounting to the camera

Nothing in her early path pointed to adult film. She studied management for two years and worked as an accountant and marketing coordinator before trying modelling: lingerie first, then nude work for magazines, and finally films. She was named Penthouse Pet of the Year in the Czech edition in 1996, and after moving into the American market she became the October 1998 Pet of the Month in the U.S. edition of Penthouse.

Career

By 2006 she had appeared in more than 150 productions. One of them, The Uranus Experiment: Part Two for Private, included a scene shot in freefall during a parabolic flight, and the film ended up nominated for a Nebula Award for Best Script, a very unusual footnote for a film of its kind.

Off screen she won back the domain name silviasaint.com from a cybersquatter in a 2006 domain dispute ruling. Since 2007 she has only appeared in lesbian-themed films, and she handles auditions herself as director and producer for her official website.

Awards

Her trophy shelf includes the AVN Award for Best Tease Performance (1998, Fresh Meat 4), the Hot d’Or for Best European Supporting Actress (2000), several FICEB Ninfa awards (2000, 2004 and 2005), a Lifetime Achievement award at Torino Sex in 2005 and induction into the AVN Hall of Fame in 2012.
