Zdeňka Podkapová

Zdeňka Podkapová is a Czech erotic model, actress and former competitive gymnast born on August 6, 1977 in Brno. Standing 5′6″ (168 cm), she made history in 2001 as the first woman from the Czech Republic named Penthouse Pet of the Year, and only the second from Europe.

Gymnast first

Before any camera, there was the gym. She spent ten years as a gymnast, five of them on the Czech national team, and won the national championship six times.

The Penthouse breakthrough

Her first photo shoot dates from 1996. Penthouse offered her a shoot in 1998, she became Pet of the Month soon after and Pet of the Year in 2001. She said she cried like a baby when she found out. That success opened doors to shoots for Maxim, FHM and Esquire, and she later appeared in a small number of adult films for director Andrew Blake. She has also been credited as Zdenka, Zdeňka Popová and Zdenka Novotná.
